![Scaffolding is how we support learning without taking over.
It means giving a child just enough help to succeed, then slowly stepping back as their confidence and skills grow.
It can look like modeling first, breaking tasks into smaller steps, offering prompts, or staying close while they try something new.
And then, just as importantly, knowing when to fade that support.
Because the goal is not perfection. The goal is independence.
When we scaffold well, we’re not making things easier for kids. We’re making success possible.
