Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
(she/her)
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (qualifying) with a passion for supporting children and youth as they navigate their emotions, relationships, and the challenges they may encounter as they grow. I believe that children communicate in many different ways, and I especially value creating a space where they can feel heard, understood, and accepted for who they are.
My experience working with children and families spans a variety of settings, including the Children’s Aid Society, early childhood education, and live-in mental health facilities. These experiences have allowed me to support children with diverse emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs, while deepening my understanding of the importance of safety, connection, and trusting relationships.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and child-centred, drawing from person-centred, attachment-informed, and play-based approaches. I believe children often communicate through play before they have the words to express what they are feeling. By following a child’s lead and using play as a way to connect and communicate, I aim to create a space where they can explore their emotions and experiences in a way that feels natural and comfortable for them. Building a trusting relationship is at the heart of my work, and I want every child to feel safe, valued, and understood in therapy.
I have a particular interest in working with children experiencing anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, life transitions, family changes, and challenges within their relationships or environments. I am passionate about helping children develop emotional awareness, coping skills, confidence, and a stronger sense of connection with themselves and the people around them.
It is a privilege to work alongside children and families. I am committed to making therapy a safe, supportive, and empowering experience where children can feel seen, heard, and valued for who they are.
