Meet the Team
Dr. Sarah Tuck, C. Psych
Clinical/ Neuro Psychologist
(she/her)
I believe that parents know their children best. My role is to work alongside families to better understand what is going on for their child and to offer practical insights that can help make everyday life a little easier. Together, we explore each child’s unique strengths and challenges so they can feel supported and thrive both at home and at school.
I am a Clinical Neuropsychologist with a Ph.D. in Clinical-Developmental Psychology from York University. I completed my residency and post-doctoral training in Paediatric Neuropsychology at the Hospital for Sick Children, where I focused on supporting children and teens with complex neurodevelopmental and medical needs.
Over the years, I’ve worked in hospitals, community mental health settings, and private practice. My work includes comprehensive assessments, therapy, and parent consultation. I support children, teens, and families with a wide range of needs—such as autism, ADHD, anxiety, emotional and behavioural challenges, OCD, Tourette Syndrome, depression, learning differences, fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD), medical conditions (like epilepsy, concussions, and genetic disorders), and trauma.
When it comes to treatment, I believe in a flexible, personalized approach. I draw from a variety of evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, to meet each child and family where they are at. My style is warm, empathetic, and focused on building understanding and connection.
In addition to my work at the clinic, I’ve spent over a decade as a Clinical Neuropsychologist at ROCK (Reach Out Centre for Kids), a community mental health organization in Halton Region. I also serve as the Residency Director at ROCK and am passionate about training the next generation of psychologists.
Outside of work, I’m a mom of two and have personal experience with assessments and child advocacy. When I’m not driving my kids around, you’ll often find me baking or curled up with a good historical fiction novel.
