What is Autism?

At WonderTree, we view Autism as a difference in the way the brain works, which means you experience and respond to the world differently to non-autistic people. Differences include social interaction, communication and sensory processing. Autistic needs are fluid and will change depending on the impact of the environment and other people. Neurodivergence should be accepted and understood.

“It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences.” –   Audre Lorde
