Autism

Our team of clinicians have extensive experience in supporting autistic youth* and their families. We believe in working together as a team to help each individual achieve their own goals. Many services are covered by private insurance or qualify for OAP funding. Make sure to look for the OAP logo to help identify these services.

What is Autism?

At WonderTree, we view Autism as a difference in the way the brain works, which means you experience and respond to the world differently to non-autistic people. Differences include social interaction, communication and sensory processing. Autistic needs are fluid and will change depending on the impact of the environment and other people. Neurodivergence should be accepted and understood.

“It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences.” –   Audre Lorde
