Virtual Autism Assessments

Goal: Provide diagnostic clarity regarding the query of Autism

At WonderTree, our psychology team is happy to work with you and your child to clarify their diagnostic profile. Our clinicians are able to provide virtual autism assessments for children 36 months and younger. Virtual autism assessments use similar methods as in person assessments.

Thorough Background/History
Interview and standardized questionnaires with parents and review of relevant data (e.g., report cards, prior assessments, relevant medical documentation)

Assessment
Administration of autism specific tests. In the virtual context, a clinician walks a caregiver through several basic tasks with their child. These tasks allow the clinician to watch for the presence of autism characteristics.

Comprehensive Feedback
The feedback session is directly between the parents, and the psychologist. The psychologist will explain the results of the assessment and provide recommendations and next steps.​

Diagnostic Report
A diagnostic report will be provided that includes recommendations for school/daycare, home, and the community.

Fee: $2125
Psychological services are not covered by OHIP, but may be covered under your extended health insurance benefits. Check with your insurance provider for details (here is a list of questions you can ask). Please ask us for a quote that you can submit in advance if required by your insurance company.
