Peer Relationships & Social Skills

Our team of clinicians, including social workers, psychotherapists, and psychologists, has extensive experience supporting children and youth who face challenges with peer relationships and social interaction. Whether it’s difficulty making friends, reading social cues, or navigating group dynamics, we work with each child to build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and develop meaningful connections with others. Our approach is supportive and individualized, helping young people feel more comfortable and capable in social settings. Some services may be covered by private insurance or OAP funding.

Peer Relationships & Social Skills

At WonderTree, we understand how important friendships and peer connection are to a child’s sense of belonging and self-worth. When social interactions feel confusing, overwhelming, or consistently lead to conflict or rejection, it can leave children feeling isolated or discouraged. Challenges with peer relationships can impact confidence, emotional well-being, and participation in school and community life. Our team supports children and youth in building the social understanding, communication strategies, and self-awareness they need to form and maintain healthy, rewarding relationships with others. With the right support, every child can find their place and feel more connected to the world around them.

Connection starts with understanding.
